Type 28T Log Wood Splitting Machine Wood-split Machine Log Splitter With Gasoline Engine

The Type 28T (model PM-28) is a gasoline-powered log splitter with a 28-ton maximum splitting force designed to split logs up to 700 mm in diameter. It uses a single-cylinder 4-stroke OHV engine and is built for both home and light commercial use.

Key specs: 28 tons max pressure, 4.4 kW gasoline engine (single-cylinder, four-stroke OHV), manual and electric start options, max log diameter up to 700 mm (customizable), weight about 295 kg, dimensions 2800 x 1430 x 1170 mm.

The machine uses gasoline for the engine. Always use clean, fresh gasoline with the octane rating recommended in the operator's manual. Refuel only when the engine is off and cooled, and refuel outdoors or in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.

The Type 28T offers both a manual (recoil/pull) start and an electric start. The electric start requires a charged battery or the supplied electrical system—refer to the manual for battery specifications and starting procedures.

Standard maximum log diameter is 700 mm. This may be customizable depending on supplier options—confirm with the seller if you require a different maximum diameter.

Exact cycle time varies with load, hydraulic settings, and operator technique. Typical cycle times for machines of this class are often in the range of 6–15 seconds per cycle under normal conditions. For precise values and adjustable settings check the product manual or ask the manufacturer.

Although the machine weighs about 295 kg, it is designed with portability in mind. Transport typically requires a trailer, pickup bed, or forklift. Use proper lifting points and secure the splitter during transport. For towing options or a trailer hitch, confirm available accessories with the supplier.

Routine maintenance includes: checking/changing engine oil and hydraulic fluid at recommended intervals, inspecting and cleaning the air filter and spark plug, checking hydraulic hoses/fittings for leaks, keeping the wedge sharp and free of damage, and following the maintenance schedule in the operator's manual.

Safety tips: wear safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear; keep hands and feet away from the splitting wedge and moving parts; operate on stable, level ground; ensure bystanders and children are at a safe distance; do not attempt to split logs with embedded nails or metal; follow lockout procedures before servicing.

The Type 28T is suitable for both homeowner and light-to-moderate commercial use (e.g., firewood production, landscaping). For continuous industrial-scale use, discuss duty-cycle expectations and any heavy-duty upgrades with the manufacturer or supplier.

Spare parts and accessories are commonly available through the manufacturer or authorized dealers, including replacement wedges, hydraulic components, and towing kits. Contact the seller for part numbers, compatibility, and lead times.

Specific hydraulic fluid type and engine oil specifications are listed in the operator's manual and depend on ambient temperature and engine requirements. Always use the recommended grades and change intervals specified by the manufacturer.

Warranty terms and service options vary by seller and region. Check with the supplier or your dealer for warranty duration, coverage details, and authorized service centers before purchase.

Emissions and noise compliance depend on the engine configuration and local regulations. Ask the supplier for certified emission data and measured noise levels appropriate to your jurisdiction if regulatory compliance is required.

Contact the manufacturer or authorized dealer to discuss available customizations such as increased max log diameter, preferred starting system, or additional accessories. Provide usage requirements so they can recommend the appropriate configuration and lead time.
