Rhinoceros Crawler Excavator XN35 EPA Side Swing Boom Machine

Key specs include: Kubota D1703-D engine (18.5 kW), machine weight 4,000 kg, bucket capacity 0.11 m³, maximum digging height 5,120 mm, maximum digging depth 3,265 mm, maximum digging radius 5,575 mm, rated/travel speed up to 3.6 km/h (high/low 3.6/2.2 km/h), and maximum gradeability 30%.

The XN35 is powered by a Kubota D1703-D engine producing 18.5 kW. It uses diesel fuel—follow the engine manufacturer's fuel and maintenance recommendations.

‘EPA’ indicates the machine is built to meet applicable U.S. Environmental Protection Agency emissions requirements. ‘Side swing boom’ refers to a boom design that can swing toward the side of the undercarriage, allowing improved access when working alongside walls, trenches, or in tight urban spaces.

The XN35 uses Eaton hydraulic cylinders and Taifeng hydraulic pump and valves, chosen to provide reliable hydraulic performance for digging, lifting, and attachment use.

The standard bucket capacity is 0.11 m³. That capacity, combined with the machine's digging reach and 4,000 kg weight class, makes the XN35 well-suited to foundation digging, trenching, landscaping, light demolition, and utility installation on small- to mid-sized jobs.

The XN35 has a rated/travel speed up to 3.6 km/h (high/low 3.6/2.2 km/h depending on gear selection) and a maximum gradeability of 30%, giving it adequate mobility on most site terrains.

Yes. The XN35 is crawler-type, which provides improved stability and traction on uneven ground and soft soils. Always observe safe operating limits, reduce dig forces on steep slopes, and follow the operator's manual for slope work.

The XN35 is compatible with common mini/excavator attachments such as buckets, hydraulic breakers, augers, and grapples. For specific coupling dimensions, hydraulic flow/pressure requirements, and quick-coupler compatibility, consult your Rhinoceros dealer or the machine’s specification sheet.

Perform daily pre-start checks (fluids, filters, hoses, tracks, pins/links), maintain proper hydraulic and engine oil levels, replace filters per the service schedule, keep cooling system clean, and inspect wear parts. Follow the Kubota engine and Rhinoceros operator manuals for exact intervals and procedures.

With a machine weight of approximately 4,000 kg, transport typically requires a suitably rated trailer or lowboy and proper tie-downs. Check local transport regulations and permits for axle loads and oversize rules before moving the machine.

Ensure operators are trained and familiar with the operator’s manual. Use required PPE, seat belts, and any provided machine guards. Observe stability limits, maintain clear visibility, use caution near overhead/underground utilities, and perform daily safety checks. Follow all site safety procedures.

The XN35 can operate in a range of site conditions, but for cold or harsh environments use proper cold-weather engine and hydraulic fluids, battery heaters, and pre-start warm-up procedures as recommended by Kubota and Rhinoceros. Consult your dealer for cold-weather packages or options.

Typical applications include digging foundations, trenching for utilities, landscaping and grading, moving soil and rock, light demolition, and installation of pipes and cables—especially where a compact but powerful crawler excavator is needed.

Warranty terms and after-sales support vary by region and dealer. Kubota engine parts are widely available; Rhinoceros dealers provide parts, service, and support. Contact your local Rhinoceros/Xiniu dealer for specific warranty coverage and service plans.
