Portable 308nm UVB LED 3000 Hours Lifetime UVB Lamp Phototherapy 308nm Excimer Laser for Psoriasis Vitiligo

The Portable 308nm UVB LED Lamp (model KN-4003B4) is a handheld phototherapy device that emits 308nm UVB light for home treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis and vitiligo. It is an LED-based unit rated at 48W, weighs 0.5 kg, and has an expected LED lifetime of about 3000 hours.

Despite the product name referencing 'excimer', this model uses 308nm UVB LEDs rather than a gas excimer laser. The LEDs deliver the therapeutic 308nm wavelength but are non-coherent light sources, unlike true excimer lasers.

It is marketed for treating localized psoriasis and vitiligo and for promoting skin recovery. Use for other conditions should only be considered under medical advice.

308nm UVB is a commonly used therapeutic wavelength for targeted phototherapy and can be effective for many patients. Individual response varies; consult a dermatologist to determine whether 308nm therapy is appropriate and to set treatment parameters.

Treatment frequency and duration depend on your skin type, condition severity, and physician recommendations. Typical protocols are supervised by a dermatologist and often start with short exposures, increasing gradually. Always follow a clinician’s guidance or the included user manual.

The correct distance is specified in the device manual; if in doubt, follow instructions from your healthcare provider. Do not assume safe distances—start with short exposures and follow professional guidance to avoid burns or overexposure.

Always wear appropriate eye protection for both patient and operator, protect surrounding healthy skin, avoid direct eye exposure, and do not exceed recommended exposure times. Keep the device away from water and do not open or modify the unit. Stop treatment and seek medical advice if you experience significant redness, blistering, or other adverse effects.

Photosensitizing medications (e.g., some antibiotics, retinoids, and certain herbal supplements) can increase risk of burns. Pregnancy, active skin infections, or a history of photosensitivity disorders may be contraindications. Always inform your dermatologist about medications and medical history before using the lamp.

Use in children or pregnant women should only occur under direct medical supervision. A pediatrician or dermatologist should evaluate the risks and benefits before treatment.

Mild short-term effects can include redness, itching, dry skin, or temporary hyperpigmentation. Rarely, overexposure can cause burns or blistering. Long-term risks of UV exposure include premature skin aging and an increased risk of skin cancer; discuss risk/benefit with a physician.

The LEDs are rated for about 3000 hours of use. Reduced output or inconsistent performance can indicate the LEDs are nearing end of life. Because LEDs are typically integrated, consult the manufacturer or seller for repair or replacement options rather than attempting to replace LEDs yourself.

Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning. Wipe the exterior and light window gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if needed. Do not immerse the device in water or use solvents. Follow any maintenance instructions in the user manual.

The device is lightweight (0.5 kg) and designed for home use, but it is powered by mains electricity (48W). 'Portable' refers to its compact size and ease of handling; check the product listing for included power adapter and regional plug compatibility.

The specification lists the instrument classification as Class I, indicating a low-risk device class in some regulatory systems. Warranty and specific certification details (CE, FDA clearance, etc.) are not provided in the description—confirm certifications and warranty coverage with the seller or manufacturer before purchase.

The provided description gives package dimensions and gross weight but does not list specific accessories. Common inclusions for similar units are the lamp, power adapter, user manual, and sometimes protective goggles. Verify exact package contents with the seller prior to purchase.
