Provide adequate floor space for the bed's footprint and room for operator movement. Ensure good ventilation or air-conditioning in the tanning room to dissipate heat and maintain a comfortable environment for users.

Many jurisdictions restrict tanning bed use for minors; check local laws. People who are pregnant, taking photosensitizing medications, or with certain skin disorders should avoid tanning and consult a healthcare professional.
