Optometry Equipment Auto Refractor with Keratometry FA-8000 Autorefractometer

The FA-8000 is an autorefractometer that performs objective refraction and keratometry measurements to assist in determining eyeglass prescriptions and evaluating corneal curvature for optometry clinics.

The device provides objective refraction values (sphere, cylinder, axis), pupillary distance (PD), and keratometry (corneal curvature) readings.

Model: FA-8000; Material: metal construction; Power: 110V/220V, 50Hz/60Hz; Axis range: 0°–180° in 1° steps; Pupillary distance: 45–88 mm in 1 mm steps; Weight: 26 kg; Package size: 70×70×60 cm.

The FA-8000 is described as delivering high-accuracy vision measurements. For traceable accuracy figures (e.g., diopter or keratometry tolerances), consult the supplier datasheet or calibration certificate.

The unit supports both 110V and 220V with 50Hz/60Hz power frequency. Use the correct local mains voltage and a properly rated power cord.

It is suitable for routine examinations of cooperative adults and children. For very young or uncooperative patients, special positioning techniques or alternative pediatric instruments may be required.

Standard accessories typically include a chinrest and forehead rest and required cabling. Exact accessory list can vary — confirm the included items with the supplier or packing list.

Connectivity options are not specified in the basic description. Many autorefractors offer RS232, USB or network interfaces for data export; confirm the available ports and software compatibility with the vendor.

Clean external surfaces and optical parts with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use manufacturer-recommended lens cleaning fluid for optics and avoid harsh chemicals. Keep the instrument covered when not in use and store in a dry, dust-free environment.

Periodic calibration and preventive maintenance are recommended; frequency depends on usage and clinical requirements. Follow the manufacturer's calibration schedule or arrange professional service annually or as advised by the supplier.

The unit weighs approximately 26.0 kg and ships in a package sized about 70×70×60 cm. Allow additional space for patient seating and operator access when planning installation.

Operate the device indoors within normal clinical temperature and humidity ranges, away from direct sunlight, excessive dust, vibration, and strong electromagnetic interference. Consult the supplier for specific operating ranges if needed.

The FA-8000 is described as user-friendly, but basic training is recommended to ensure proper patient alignment, correct measurement technique, interpretation of results, and routine maintenance.

Warranty and support terms are not included in the product description. Contact the supplier or manufacturer to confirm warranty length, service agreements, spare parts availability, and technical support options.

Contact authorized distributors, the manufacturer, or your medical equipment supplier for pricing, lead times, and purchasing details. They can also provide formal quotes, demonstrations, and after-sales support.
