The HS-4000 Cryostat Microtome (sold under Zeedo/Hisure branding) is a CE- and ISO-certified cryostat microtome for pathology and research labs. It combines precision sectioning, adjustable freezing control and an integrated quick-freeze shelf for consistent, high-quality tissue sections.
The HS-4000 is CE and ISO certified, indicating compliance with applicable European and international quality and safety standards for medical laboratory equipment. For specific certificate copies, contact your vendor.
Freezing chamber: nominally adjustable to about -35°C (operational sectioning range typically used is around -35°C to -10°C). Quick-freeze shelf: operating range typically -40°C to +40°C with a minimum reachable temperature down to around -60°C (manufacturer nominal values).
Section thickness: adjustable from 1 μm to 100 μm with selectable step increments (1 μm steps from 1–20 μm; 2 μm steps from 20–50 μm; 5 μm steps from 50–100 μm). Trimming range: 1 μm to 600 μm with multiple step increments (detailed step sizes vary by range). Sample retraction is adjustable 0–200 μm with 5 μm steps.
Maximum specimen size: 55 mm × 55 mm. Specimen vertical stroke: 59 mm ±0.5 mm. Specimen horizontal stroke: 25 mm ±1 mm. Specimen clamp angle adjustable up to 12° (X&Y) and 360° rotation on the Z axis.
Sample slow forward/rewind speed: 300 μm/s. Fast forward/rewind speed: 900 μm/s. The handwheel is designed to be light and smooth and includes a locking device for secure operation.
Supports wide or narrow blades. Blade holder includes an anti-fatigue cam-lock to secure blades tightly, horizontal blade-clamp movement on a guide rail for safety and full blade use, a glass anti-rolling plate, adjustable pressing plate angle/gap, and a pushing rod to eject blades.
Electrical input options: 220–240 VAC, 50 Hz; 220–240 VAC, 60 Hz; or 110–127 VAC, 60 Hz. Input power is approximately 650 VA. Refrigerant used: R449A, 400 g ±5 g.
Defrost can be set to automatic or manual. Default auto-defrost runs up to 15 minutes or until chamber temperature rises to -5°C. The unit supports hibernation and built-in UV sterilization for chamber disinfection.
Regularly clean the chamber, waste tray and blade area after use according to lab protocols. Run periodic defrost cycles as recommended, inspect blade clamps and guide rails, and arrange annual preventive service by qualified technicians. Replace refrigerant or major components only by authorized service personnel.
Features include a locking handwheel, blade-clamp safety design, anti-fog heated viewing glass, chromatic LCD touch screen, secure specimen clamp with triaxial adjustment, and built-in UV sterilization. Follow standard lab safety protocols when changing blades or handling specimens.
Unit dimensions: W × D × H approx. 780 mm (650 mm without handwheel) × 700 mm × 1280 mm (±5%). Packed dimensions: 913 × 804 × 1467 mm. Gross weight: approx. 208 kg. Typical delivery time: 5–7 days after receipt of payment (subject to stock and shipping conditions).
Warranty terms are vendor-dependent. Contact your supplier or manufacturer representative for specific warranty duration, terms and available maintenance/support packages. Authorized service centers are recommended for repairs.
Designed for pathology, histology and biomedical research labs requiring cryosectioning of frozen tissue. Its wide thickness range, large specimen capacity and rapid freezing capability make it suitable for routine clinical diagnostics and advanced research applications.
Typical consumables/accessories include cryostat blades (wide and narrow), specimen discs, OCT or embedding media, spare blade holders, gaskets and replacement filters. Contact your supplier for an accessory pack compatible with the HS-4000.
