Magic Color Changing Mug

The mug uses a heat‑sensitive (thermochromic) coating that reacts to hot liquids. When you pour a warm drink into the mug, the coating becomes transparent and reveals the design or different color beneath it; the original color returns as the mug cools.

The mug is designed for hot beverages such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It will change color with any sufficiently warm liquid. As with any hot drink, use caution to avoid burns.

The product description does not explicitly state microwave safety. Because many color‑changing coatings can be sensitive to microwave heat, we recommend checking the product page or seller information before microwaving. If unsure, avoid microwave use to preserve the coating.

Yes — the Magic Color Changing Mug is described as dishwasher safe. To prolong the life of the color‑changing coating and design, use a gentle dishwasher cycle and avoid high‑abrasion detergents if possible.

The mug is made from sturdy ceramic, which is durable and suitable for holding hot beverages.

The description states it holds a “good amount” for morning coffee or evening tea but does not list an exact capacity. Check the product listing or seller information for precise volume (ounces or milliliters).

The color change usually occurs quickly — often within seconds — as the hot liquid warms the mug. The speed depends on the temperature of the liquid and how full the mug is.

The thermochromic coating can gradually lose intensity with heavy use, frequent harsh dishwasher cycles, or abrasive cleaning. To extend its life, avoid rough scrubbing and consider gentle washing when possible.

Children will enjoy the visual effect, but the mug contains hot liquids so adult supervision is recommended to prevent scalding. Also avoid giving very young children ceramic mugs unsupervised.

The mug is designed to change color with heat, not cold. Extreme temperature changes (for example placing a very hot mug into ice water) can risk thermal shock and cracking, so avoid sudden large temperature swings.

The description doesn’t specify customization options. Some sellers offer personalized color‑changing mugs — check the product page or contact the seller to see if custom printing is available.

Contact the seller or retailer where you purchased the mug to report the issue. Most sellers provide return or replacement policies for damaged or defective items — check their guarantee and return instructions.

Avoid abrasive scrubbers or harsh cleaners, don’t use metal utensils that could scratch the coating, and don’t subject the mug to sudden extreme temperature changes. Although dishwasher safe, gentle cycles will help preserve the coating longer.

Yes. The mug has a visible design even when cool, and that design can change or be revealed more fully when hot liquid activates the color‑changing coating.

No warranty details are provided in the description. For warranty information, contact the seller or check the product page where you purchased the mug.
