CIP (Clean in Place) Machine

 

 

The CIP (Clean in Place) Machine is designed for efficient cleaning of production equipment and pipelines in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, dairy, juice, food, beer, and wine. It ensures hygienic processing by automating the cleaning of systems without the need for disassembly.

Key Units and Components:

CIP Washing Tank:

  • Available in single, double, three, or four-tank configurations. Typically used for storing different cleaning solutions:
    • Acid solution tank
    • Alkali solution tank
    • Hot water tank
    • Pure water tank

CIP Heating System:

  • Utilizes steam via a heat exchanger, tank jacket, or electrical heating to heat the cleaning solutions.

CIP Washing Pump:

  • Pumps the cleaning solutions through the system for effective washing.

CIP Back Pump:

  • Used for recirculating the washing solution during cleaning.

Control Instrumentation:

  • Includes PH sensor (conductivity meter), temperature sensor, pressure gauge, and flow meter to monitor and control the cleaning process.

Control Panel System:

  • Controls the various parameters and processes, ensuring safe and effective operation.

Pipeline and Valves:

  • Essential components for directing and regulating the flow of cleaning solutions through the system.

Operation Modes:

  • Automatic Control:
    • Automatically adjusts acid/alkali solution dosing based on PH sensor data.
    • Automatically adjusts washing solution temperature.
    • Automatically sets washing time and sequence.
  • Semi-Automatic and Manual Control:
    • Provides flexibility depending on production requirements.

Working Principle:

  • The CIP system operates by controlling the opening and closing of steam, water, and cleaning solution valves based on sensor readings. The process includes:
    1. Water filling
    2. Acid/alkali solution dosing (via diaphragm pump)
    3. Heating of water/solutions
    4. Sequential washing steps using hot water, alkali solution, acid solution, and final rinse with pure water.

Washing Process:

Pre-Wash:

  • Duration: 10 minutes
  • Temperature: Room temp. or 50°C
  • Solution: Tap water or pure water

Alkali Solution Wash:

  • Duration: 10-30 minutes
  • Temperature: 60-80°C
  • Solution: 2-4% NaOH solution

Hot Water Wash:

  • Duration: 10-20 minutes
  • Temperature: 60-80°C
  • Solution: Tap water or pure water

Acid Solution Wash:

  • Duration: 10-30 minutes
  • Temperature: 60-80°C
  • Solution: 2% HNO3 solution

Final Wash:

  • Duration: 15 minutes
  • Temperature: 60-80°C
  • Solution: Pure water
