Finger Jointer Wood Finger Board Jointing Machine Wood Board Connecting Machine

This machine is used to create interlocking finger joints to connect wood boards into wider panels and assemblies—commonly used in furniture, cabinetry, frames and decorative woodworking.

Key specs: electric power source, total motor power 3 kW (1.5 kW + 1.5 kW), voltage 380V, weight 600 kg, dimensions 3600×860×1500 mm, max working width 150 mm, max thickness 70 mm, max working length 2500 mm.

A 380V three-phase electrical supply is required. Ensure your site can supply adequate current and that appropriate overcurrent protection and a qualified electrician handle connection and grounding.

It supports boards up to 150 mm in working width, up to 70 mm in thickness, and up to 2500 mm in working length.

Yes—the machine can process most solid softwoods and hardwoods, as well as many engineered boards. Always test settings and tooling for best results with specific materials; very thin veneers or extremely dense engineered panels may require special tooling or settings.

Finger size and spacing are determined by the cutter head and tooling used. Changeable cutter sets and head adjustments allow different finger profiles—consult the user manual or supplier for compatible cutter sets and setup instructions.

Use the machine with all guards and covers fitted, keep hands away from cutter heads, use the emergency stop for incidents, lock out/tag out and disconnect power before maintenance, and wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask). Only trained operators should run the machine.

Yes—finger jointing produces significant chips and dust. We recommend connecting a suitable dust extraction or central vacuum system to the machine's dust port to maintain a safe and clean workspace and prolong machine life.

Regular maintenance includes cleaning and removing chips, lubricating moving parts per the manual, checking and tightening fasteners, inspecting belts/bearings, and sharpening or replacing cutters as needed. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.

Common spare parts include cutter sets, blades, bearings, belts, electrical components, and clamping accessories. Optional accessories may include different cutter heads, fences, infeed/outfeed tables, and dust collection adapters.

When cut and glued correctly using suitable adhesive and pressure, finger joints produced by this machine create very strong, durable connections suitable for furniture, panels and structural joinery.

The machine is designed for ease of use with straightforward controls, but proper training is recommended for safe and accurate operation—especially for cutter setup, alignment and maintenance.

The machine is heavy (approximately 600 kg) and large, so delivery typically requires a forklift or crane and professional installation. It should be placed on a level, stable floor and anchored per the supplier’s recommendations.

Finger jointing machines generate moderate to high noise during cutting. Hearing protection is recommended for operators and bystanders. For exact dB levels ask the supplier or consult the technical datasheet.

Warranty terms and certifications (CE, ISO, etc.) depend on the manufacturer/supplier. Check with your supplier for warranty coverage, duration, and which safety or quality certifications the machine holds.
