20 Ton Diesel Aircraft Tow Tractor – DT20 Airport Baggage Towing Tractor, JMC JX493 Engine

Product Description:

The DT20 is a heavy-duty diesel tow tractor purpose-built for aviation ground support, designed to handle baggage carts, cargo dollies, and aircraft-adjacent towing tasks at airports. With a maximum traction force of 20 kN, it can tow up to 26,000 kg as a single unit or 39,000 kg in combination — making it capable of moving multiple loaded baggage trains in a single pass.

Power comes from a China-domestic JMC JX493G3 diesel engine, displacing 3,319 cm³ and delivering 43 kW at 2300 rpm with 196.3 N·m of maximum torque at 1700 rpm. Paired with an Okamura 340 2-speed automatic transmission, the tractor reaches a forward speed of up to 30 km/h and a reverse speed of up to 14 km/h, with a tight 3,250mm minimum turning radius for maneuvering in congested ramp areas.

Built at a machine weight of 3,400 kg, the tractor features a sunshade roof and front windshield for operator comfort, along with front and rear dual tow hitches for flexible towing configurations. It's supplied without an enclosed cabin, keeping the operator's view open for airside visibility. Coupler towing height is adjustable between 304.8mm and 405mm to match different equipment heights.

With a no-load gradeability of 38%, this tractor handles ramp inclines confidently, and its rugged tire setup (6.50-10PR front, 28*9-15PR rear) is suited for continuous airport ground operations.
