Converter.

 The converter uses molten iron and scrap steel as raw materials, and removes carbon by slagging, oxygen blowing, etc., to obtain molten steel that meets the requirements. It blows nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon or oxygen into the furnace through the gas supply bricks, strengthens the molten pool agitation, and improves the smelting reaction, thus shortening the steelmaking time, improving the quality of the molten steel and reducing the steelmaking cost.

Refractory materials about converter  .

   LITE recommends that the furnace cap use high-oxidation and high-strength magnesia carbon bricks.
The trunnion area of the converter is severely eroded by the slag, and the airflow is washed and oxidized. The high-strength and high-corrosion-resistant magnesia carbon brick with carbon content of 16%-18% is selected.

The slag line is mainly eroded by slag, so high-quality and high-resistance magnesia carbon bricks are selected.

In addition to the erosion of steel and slag, the loading side is also subjected to impact and erosion when loading molten iron and scrap steel materials. High-strength magnesia carbon bricks with high resistance to erosion and thermal shock are used.

Evaluation and preparation of refractory materials

Rotary kiln is very common in the refractory industry. Common uses include calcined clay, high alumina bauxite, magnesia, high iron sand, magnesia chrome sand, magnesium aluminum spinel, dolomite and activated lime.
