The DHM63 is a horizontal CNC machining center designed for heavy cutting and high-rigidity machining. It features a one-piece bed, large rail span and long Z-axis guide support, and is aimed at processing parts such as new energy automobile components, valve bodies, crankcases and cylinder heads.
Travel distances are X = 1050 mm, Y = 1000 mm and Z = 1000 mm.
Spindle taper is BT50. Speed range is 10–6000 rpm. Spindle motor power is 18.5/22 kW with maximum torque values of 644/770 Nm. Spindle drive is belt-driven.
The worktable measures 630 × 630 mm and supports a maximum load of 1200 kg. Number of worktables: 1.
The machine uses a T40 arm-type tool magazine with capacity for 40 tools. Tool change time is 3.8 seconds. Maximum tool weight is 25 kg, maximum tool length 500 mm, and maximum tool diameter (no adjacent tool) Φ125/250 mm (note: larger diameter allowed if adjacent slots are empty).
Linear positioning accuracy is 0.01 mm with repeated positioning accuracy of 0.006 mm. The B-axis rotary table positioning accuracy is 10 arc‑sec and repeatability 4 arc‑sec.
Cutting (feed) speed ranges from 1–10 m/min. Rapid traverse speeds for X/Y/Z are 36/36/36 m/min.
Key design choices for heavy cutting include a one-piece bed, a large rail span (895 mm) with 400 mm high-low rail distance, long-span Z-axis guide rails, and a cast one-piece gear-type spindle head for increased rigidity and stability.
The machine uses standard three-axis hollow screw cooling which can reduce screw temperature rise by about 70%, improving thermal stability during heavy machining.
The B-axis rotary table is driven by an imported FANUC AC servo motor and uses a hydraulic clamping system to ensure high precision and high rigidity.
The automated chain servo tool magazine uses a shortest-path fixed-address method so that collisions with large tools are addressed during initial setup; subsequent tool changes follow precomputed safe paths.
Approximate floor area required is 7200 × 3940 × 3600 mm. Machine weight is about 17,000 kg. Tank (coolant) capacity is 800 L. Recommended compressed air supply is 6 kgf/cm². Power requirement is approximately 75 kVA (confirm exact supply with manufacturer/local electrical engineer).
The DHM63 is suited for heavy and high‑rigidity parts such as new energy automobile components, valve bodies, tool towers, crankcases and cylinder heads—where deep cuts and high stability are required.
Regular maintenance includes checking and topping up coolant and hydraulic fluids, inspecting/cleaning the tool magazine and chain, verifying lubrication of guide rails and ball screws, monitoring spindle and gearbox conditions, checking clamping hydraulics, and periodic geometric/accuracy checks. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule for intervals and procedures.
