The YT-400B is a tabletop semi-automatic tray sealing machine designed to seal plastic trays with heat-sealable film. It is intended for food and non-food applications and can include an optional nitrogen (MAP) filling function.
It can be used for frozen, chilled or fresh foods and any product that fits in a tray—microwave meals, preserved foods, cold/hot dishes, fruits/vegetables, dry foods, cosmetics and certain plastic items.
The YT-400B is semi-automatic. The operator typically loads trays and starts the cycle; the machine performs forming (if applicable), gas flush (optional), sealing and cutting operations as set.
Maximum film width: 245 mm. Maximum film roll diameter: 180 mm. The machine accepts common heat-sealable films; confirm film material compatibility (PET/PP/PVC/PE laminates) with the supplier for best results.
The thermostat controller range is 0–300 °C with a temperature stability/accuracy of approximately ±0.5 °C, allowing precise control of sealing temperatures.
Yes — nitrogen (or other protective gas) flushing/filling is available as an option if required by the customer. A gas supply (tank and regulator) is needed for MAP operation.
The operator places filled trays into the fixture, initiates the cycle from the control panel, and the machine performs the programmed sealing (and optional gas flush). After sealing, the operator removes the finished trays and loads the next batch.
Throughput depends on tray size, seal time, operator speed and chosen settings. Because it is semi-automatic, cycle rate is variable—please provide your tray dimensions and desired cycle time so the supplier can estimate typical throughput.
The machine is compatible with a wide range of plastic trays (PS, PP, PET, etc.) and many disposable materials. For best results, provide samples so tooling and seal parameters can be verified and, if needed, custom tooling can be supplied.
Daily cleaning of sealing areas and film paths, regular inspection and replacement of sealing gaskets/strips, checking and tightening mechanical fasteners, periodic lubrication of moving parts, and verifying heater and controller performance. Keep electrical components dry and schedule preventive checks with your supplier.
Follow standard machine safety: keep hands clear of sealing areas during operation, allow heaters to cool before maintenance, use appropriate PPE, ensure proper grounding and electrical protection, and follow any safety instructions provided by the manufacturer. Optional safety features may be available—ask your vendor.
Specific electrical and utility requirements vary by machine configuration and region. Nitrogen/air supply is required for MAP versions. Request the machine’s technical datasheet from the supplier for exact power, voltage, and pneumatic/gas specs.
Common causes include incorrect temperature, insufficient or uneven pressure, wrong sealing time, mismatched film/tray materials, or worn sealing gaskets. Verify settings (temperature/time/pressure), check film tension and alignment, replace worn gaskets, and test with sample trays to dial in parameters.
Most suppliers provide spare parts, installation assistance and operator training—availability depends on your vendor. Confirm service terms, lead times for spare parts and training options when ordering.
Contact the sales representative with your product details (tray size, product type, desired cycle rate, need for MAP, and film type). Provide tray samples if possible to evaluate tooling and confirm a tailored solution, lead times and pricing.
