The sensor measures air temperature and relative humidity. Temperature measurement range is -55 to 125 °C with typical accuracy of ±0.5 °C. Humidity range is 1 to 100% RH with typical accuracy of ±1% RH. Operating temperature for the device is -35 to 75 °C.
The system uses a 433 MHz radio link (LoRa-style/long-range RF) with a data rate of 4.8 kbps and RF transmit power of 10 dBm.
Range depends on environment and antenna placement. Typical published distances are: sensor-to-Base Station within the Base Station coverage (varies by site); Base Station to Extender up to 1,200 m (line-of-sight); Extender in long-range mode can extend the network up to about 5 km line-of-sight.
A single Base Station can manage up to 96 wireless sensors. An Extender can support either up to 4 Base Stations or up to 96 wireless sensors, depending on configuration and capacity.
Wireless sensors transmit measurements to the Base Station. The Base Station forwards data to an Extender (up to ~1,200 m). The Extender uploads sensor data packets to a central server over Ethernet (10/100M) using Modbus TCP. Data can then be viewed by G7 Client apps or accessed via APIs and Modbus by third-party systems.
Included software: X7 Setup Software (used to program the X7 as Base Station or Extender) and G7 Client Lite (Windows 10 desktop & touchscreen, iPad, iPhone, Android). G7 Client Lite displays live, historical and statistical data, supports dashboards, local data storage, CSV/SQLite export, and basic alarm viewing.
Integration options include Modbus TCP (industrial standard registers), an API DLL for third-party development, a REST web-service API, a Centre software text-file output option, and an optional G7 Server for database storage. A Modbus TCP tool is bundled.
Transmission interval is user‑programmable from 5 seconds up to 10 minutes. Data packets are generated instantly on incoming sensor data; each sensor has a unique 8-digit ID and RF addressing (255/15).
Typical dimensions provided: Base Station/Extender ~115 x 90 x 55 mm and sensor/transmitter ~70 x 65 x 35 mm. Rated current is listed as less than 130 mA; RF transmit power is 10 dBm. Specific power source (battery or external supply) depends on the chosen sensor model—contact your vendor for exact power/battery options.
Yes. The product is designed for agriculture, greenhouses and farms where cabling is difficult. Long-range wireless (up to 5 km with Extender) makes it suitable for large or remote sites to monitor temperature and humidity for crop management, irrigation decisions and climate control.
Yes. The sensor can be used for cold storage, tank temperature monitoring, pharmaceutical temperature/humidity logging and similar critical environments. The system supports continuous recording, historical data storage and instant alerts for out-of-range conditions (suitable for audits and compliance when configured correctly).
Yes. The platform supports alarm/alert functionality. Thresholds and alerting behavior are configurable via the G7 Client or server software, and alarms can be delivered through the client apps or integrated into third-party SCADA/systems using Modbus or APIs.
Use the bundled X7 Setup Software to program an X7 unit as either a Base Station or an Extender. Basic steps include powering the devices, assigning sensor IDs or addresses, selecting transmission intervals, and configuring Ethernet/network settings for the Extender. Detailed setup instructions are included in the product documentation or software help files.
G7 Client Lite saves data locally for reporting and analysis. Data can be exported as CSV or SQLite files for third-party analysis. Alternatively use the optional G7 Server or REST API/Modbus to collect and store data centrally in your own database or monitoring system.
