Gasification Principle
Biomass Preparation: Raw materials such as wood chips, agricultural residues, or organic waste are fed into the gasifier. The materials are heated and dried, and the volatile components are separated.
Pyrolysis & Combustion: At high temperatures, pyrolysis occurs, breaking down the biomass into gases. The produced gases then interact with the supplied air in the oxidation zone, generating CO2 and steam.
Syngas Production: The heat generated from combustion is used to maintain other processes, such as pyrolysis and drying. The resulting gas passes through the reduction zone where it reacts with carbon to generate syngas (CO, H2, CH4, CMHN).
Purification & Output: The syngas is purified by removing impurities like tar and is then ready for use. Ash residue is discharged from the lower part of the gasifier.
Types of Raw Materials
The biomass gasifier is compatible with various raw materials, including:
Agricultural Residues: Peanut hulls, rice hulls, corn cobs, cotton straw, corn straw.
Animal Manure: Chicken, pig, and cow manure.
Organic Waste: Organic municipal waste and industrial organic waste (e.g., plastic, rubber, cloth, paper hull) with a plastic/rubber content of less than 30%.
Raw Material Requirements:
Size: Raw materials should have a bulk or granular shape of less than 30mm.
Moisture Content: Less than 20% for optimal gasification efficiency.
