The ZL-6008 is a light accelerated aging chamber that simulates long-term UV exposure, temperature cycling and humidity to evaluate material durability (plastics, coatings, rubber, textiles, automotive parts, electronics) for R&D, QC and material testing.
Operating range is RT + 10°C up to 70°C. The chamber is designed to simulate elevated UV temperatures (commonly 50–75°C during UV cycles). Temperature fluctuation is ±0.5°C and uniformity is approximately ±3°C. Humidity operation is maintained at ≥75% RH for condensation/wet-cycle tests. For precise performance numbers in your configuration, consult the technical datasheet.
The chamber uses fluorescent UV lamps: UVA-340 (peak ~340 nm, range ~290–400 nm) and UVB-313 (peak ~313 nm, range ~280–320 nm) to reproduce solar and accelerated UV spectra.
Irradiance is adjustable via the touchscreen and controlled intelligently by a PLC using PID feedback from the irradiance sensor. The adjustable irradiation intensity range is approximately 0.30–1.1 W/m² (specified for 313 nm / 340 nm bands).
Sample capacity depends on fixture/rack configuration. Standard test piece size is 75 × 150 mm. Depending on rack layout, the chamber can hold from about 21 pieces (standard single-rack) up to around 48–50 pieces in high-density configurations—confirm exact capacity with the supplier for your required fixture.
Center-to-center lamp tube spacing is 65–70 mm and the distance from the lamp center to the test product is specified at about 55 mm. These distances are set to achieve the specified irradiance levels and uniformity.
The unit is available for 120 V / 60 Hz, 16 A or 230 V / 50 Hz, 9 A supply options. Maximum power consumption is approximately 1,800 W. Ensure your installation meets local electrical codes and provides a suitable dedicated circuit.
The chamber uses distilled water for humidity and condensation cycles. Typical consumption is about 8 liters per day under continuous wet-cycle operation. Use only distilled or deionized water to avoid mineral deposits.
Yes. The ZL-6008 is designed to support common standards including GB/T 14522-93, ASTM G154, ISO 4892-1, ISO 11507 and ASTM D4329. Test procedures and parameter settings should be configured to match the specific standard being followed.
Optional accessories include a radiometer for accurate irradiance measurement and a recorder/data-logger for environmental parameters. The chamber provides real-time irradiance feedback to its control system and can output logged data when equipped with the recorder option.
The ZL-6008 uses a programmable touchscreen interface. Tests are created by entering cycles for UV exposure, temperature and humidity, and setting irradiance values. The PLC/PID system maintains setpoints and adjusts lamp ballast output based on feedback from the irradiance sensor. Refer to the user manual for step-by-step programming instructions.
Routine maintenance includes: keep the water tank clean and filled with distilled water, inspect and clean interior surfaces and sample racks, check lamp condition and ballast performance, verify sensors and irradiance readings, and replace consumables as needed. Follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule and calibration procedures.
Lamp output slowly degrades over time. Replacement frequency depends on operating hours and required irradiance tolerance. Use the optional radiometer to monitor irradiance; replace lamps or recalibrate sensors when output falls outside acceptable limits for your tests. For specific hour-based guidance and calibration intervals, consult the manufacturer or service manual.
Prevent direct UV exposure to personnel by keeping doors closed during operation and using interlocks. Provide adequate ventilation and a stable, level floor capable of supporting the ~136 kg weight. Ensure proper electrical protection and grounding. Operators should be trained on safe handling, waste water disposal, and emergency shutdown procedures. Refer to the installation and safety manual for full requirements.
