The RRU performs the following functions:

* Receives downlink baseband data from the BBU and sends uplink baseband data to this baseband unit.

* Receives an RF signal from the antenna system, down-converts the signal to an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, amplifies the
IF signal, performs analog-to-digital conversion, and up-converts the RF signal to the transmit (TX) band.

* Multiplexing the receive (RX) and TX signal RF channels allows these signals to share the same antenna channel and filter the
RX and TX signals.

* Available with built-in offset tee (BT). The built-in BT couples the RF signal and OOK signal and transmits them through TX/RX
port A. The built-in BT is also a Tower Mount Amplifier (TMA).

* RRU can use AC/DC power supply module. In this case, this RRU is called a remote communication unit.

A base station, that is, a public mobile communication base station, is a form of radio station. It refers to a radio transceiver
station that transmits information with mobile phone terminals through a mobile communication switching center in a certain radio coverage area.

In order to achieve network access for mobile terminals, base stations are essential infrastructure. So what is the structure of
a base station? The base station is mainly composed of an antenna system, a radio frequency unit (Remote Radio Unit, RRU), and a baseband processing unit (Base Band Unit, BBU).

●Radio frequency unit:

responsible for signal generation and extraction.

●Baseband processing unit:

Responsible for information processing and processing.
