Candling For Eggs

Eggs have to be scanned once or twice during incubation. Taking chicken as example, the first candling takes place on the eighth or the ninth day to pick out the unfertilized eggs and dead eggs , the second candling takes place on sixteenth day, the seventeenth day or the eighteenth day when transfering eggs from setter to hatcher to pick out the dead eggs.

Instruction

It very widely using at this days. When hatching with incubator, the quantity is very large. If test with the desktop egg tester, it’s takes a very short time, saving time and work.

Put the egg on the top of the desktop egg tester, according to the candle, the brightness one is the unfertilized eggs or dead eggs and the darkness one is the live egg embryo. Candle dead eggs again on the side hole.

The first candle takes place on the 5th day of egg embryo, 6th day of duck egg , 7th day of goose egg. Take out the unfertilized eggs and dead eggs to make the incubator more sufficient.

The second candle takes place on the 10th-11th day of chicken egg, 13th-14th day duck egg,14-15th day of goose egg, Take out dead eggs to prevent polluting the live egg embryo and the incubator.

It’s necessary to candle again before hatching, take out dead eggs to prevent them absorbing heat during the live embryo eggs that can influence the hatching rate.

Besides the first candle the second candle and the candle before hatching, It is should random test once a day during the daily incubation, 10-20pcs per each time.
