Optional Intel vPro™ technology is available for Xeon processors, offering enhanced security and remote management capabilities.

Operating System Options:

  • The workstation offers a range of operating systems to suit different needs:
    • Windows 10 Pro for Workstations (supports up to 4 cores and more).
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0, Ubuntu Linux 18.04, and Suse Linux (SLES 12 SP2) for open-source environments.
    • NeoKylin 6.0 SP5 (available only in China).

Chipset:

  • C422 chipset for Xeon® W processors and Intel X299 chipset for Core X processors. This chipset is optimized for high performance and supports up to 18 cores for demanding computational tasks.

Memory Options:

  • The Dell Precision 5820 supports four-channel memory with up to 512GB DDR4 2666MHz RDIMM ECC memory for the Xeon processors or up to 256GB DDR4 2933MHz RDIMM ECC memory for Core X CPUs. It offers 8 DIMM slots, allowing for extensive memory expansion to handle memory-intensive tasks.
  • Non-ECC memory options are available for non-critical applications.

Graphics Options:

  • The workstation can support up to 2 PCI Express® x16 Gen 3 graphics cards. With a maximum power capacity of 600W, it can accommodate 2 x 300W double-width graphics cards for demanding applications like 3D modeling, rendering, and gaming.
