Bittle is driven by nyboard v1, a custom board with rich peripherals. We make full use of conventional single chips to coordinate complex actions. The board can drive at least 12 pwm servers and the imu (inertial unit of measure) is used for balancing. There is "muscle memory" and can detect the state of the body (direction and acceleration) for balance. We provide an infrared remote control to trigger basic actions. The evaluation board also hears string commands from the serial port, such as "walk," "sit", or more detailed instructions for each junction
