Biogas is an organic matter (agricultural waste, livestock and poultry manure, organic waste, kitchen waste, municipal sludge, high-concentration industrial organic wastewater, etc.) in an anaerobic environment and under certain conditions, the catabolism of various anaerobic microorganisms finally forms a mixed gas mainly composed of CH4 and CO2, which is a biochemical process.

The main component of biogas is methane (CH4), which usually accounts for 50% to 70% of the total volume; followed by carbon dioxide, which accounts for about 25% to 40% of the total volume; the remaining gases such as hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide account for about 5% of the total volume.
 

After purification, biogas becomes biomethane. As a kind of biogas, it has the four major characteristics of cleanliness, high efficiency, safety and renewability. Its efficient preparation and comprehensive utilization are a representative two-way cleaning process. It is essential for a new type of energy. 
 

The biogas is converted into CNG, and analyzed from the direction of utilization, all other components except CH4 are harmful components or impurities and need to be removed separately. The main impurity is CO2. Due to its higher content, the more it exists, the lower the calorific value of the gas. Excessive sulfur content will corrode equipment and pipelines and reduce their service life.

Working principle

The MBR purification system is mainly composed of three parts: gas pretreatment system, pressurization system and membrane separation system. Among them, the membrane separation system can adopt a two-stage or one-stage system according to user requirements and project specific conditions.

After the biogas enters the membrane purification system, it first enters the dry desulfurization system to remove hydrogen sulfide in the biogas. Then it is compressed by a compressor to provide separation power for the membrane purification system, followed by a cooling dehydration and three-stage filtration system to remove moisture and particles in the biogas. When all the indicators of the intake gas meet the design standards of the membrane separation device, it enters the membrane separation device.The device can realize comprehensive testing under different membrane arrangements, different pressures and other working conditions. At the same time, there are backflow, release and drainage systems to ensure the stability and safety of the system.
